There are two Pick 3 draws every day in Maine, one at 1:10 p.m. and the other at 6:50 p.m.
The cut-off time for the Day draw is 1:00 p.m., and for the Evening draw it is 6:45 p.m.
You can select one, two or three numbers between 0 and 9. Decide how much to wager and which draws to bet on, and also specify your bet type from the options available.
If you’re selecting three numbers, you can either play a Straight and try to match them all in exact order, or play a Box and match them in any order. Alternatively, play a Front Pair or a Back Pair, or select a Single Digit. Find out more on the How to Play page.
There is a range of wager amounts to choose from. The minimum is $0.50 and the maximum is $5.
Yes, you can enter your numbers into multiple consecutive drawings, up to a maximum of 21 days in a row.
You win prizes by matching all the numbers you select. You also have to meet the requirements of the play type you have selected, whether that is matching the numbers exactly or in any order.
The maximum you can win is 500x your wager for a Straight. If you bet $5, this makes the top prize $2,500. Each bet type has a fixed payout. Go to the Prizes page to see a full list.
The odds are different for each bet type. If you play a Straight, your chances of matching three numbers in exact order are 1 in 1,000. If you select a Single Digit play, the odds of matching that one number correctly are 1 in 10.

Yes, you can buy a Pick 3 ticket in Maine even if you are not a resident of the Pine Tree State. You should just be aware that any prizes won in Maine must also be claimed in the state. You will not be able to claim a prize elsewhere, even in another state which offers its own version of Pick 3.
You can collect prizes of up to $600 from retail agents in Maine, or go to the lottery headquarters in Augusta. Alternatively, claim prizes by mailing in your winning ticket to the Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages and Lottery Operations, 8 State House Station, Augusta, ME 04333-0008.
You have one year from the draw date to come forward and claim any prizes you win.
As well as being used to pay out prizes, the money generated from ticket sales goes back to the people of Maine through the General Fund, helping to support education and health services. Retailers also receive commission for selling tickets.
Pick 3 was launched in June 1980. It was originally draw just once a day, before a second daily drawing was added in June 2003.
